A car crashed in a Pittsburgh International Airport parking lot Wednesday morning, narrowly missing a moving walkway.
Channel 11's Renee Kaminski reported that the accident happened around 6:30 a.m.
Airport officials said the driver entered a parking lot without getting a ticket and ended up going through the glass door of the Hyatt Hotel entrance of the airport.
Allegheny County police said the driver was on the parkway when she lost her brakes and ended up crashing her Toyota Prius into the building.
Investigators said the car first hit a concrete barrier, which was pushed through the doors of the moving walkway entrance. The car finally came to rest just feet from a moving walkway.
Joe Dennington captured most of the accident on his cellphone.
?It looked like the lady missed the turn and tried to make a new drive-through,? Dennington said. ?Her car knocked one of those big trash cans out of the way and then she was upset because she missed her flight.?
Airport spokeswoman Joann Jenny said the impact of the crash stopped the woman's vehicle before it reached the walkway.
No injuries were reported, and officials said the driver won?t face charges.
Officials said the entrance to the Hyatt and moving sidewalk at the long-term parking lot will be closed for repairs until further notice.
Jenny said the airport operations were not affected by the crash.
